THE 70'S GRADUATE YEARS (Africa Effect)  

She graduated with high marks, with a “Master of Art” degree in Professor Devrim Erbil’s studio. She was a research-minded student out of class. The variety of her interests encouraged her to search and experiment with new styles and techniques. She was deeply fond of color and red was her favourite color in her early years at the university. She visited North African Countries between 1970-1973 and studied their arts. “African mask’s effects” were seen in her art in the late 70’s. “Mask Portraits” appeared in this period. Then, she started to add some texture in her art. The use of a fishing-net has been rooted in her early years at the university. She exhibited her art works with groups and also had solo exhibitions in this period. She got her 3 awards in this period also.
